On October 5, 1974, she married Gary Lacy in Schuyler, Nebraska. Together, they made their home in Lincoln, Nebraska, where they raised their two children, Ben and Amanda.
She dedicated 25 years of service to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, working in food service at Selleck Hall. She took great pride in her work and cherished the community she built there.
Outside of her career, Diana’s greatest joy was her family – especially her grandchildren, who were the center of her world. She rarely missed an opportunity to attend their events, always cheering them on and treasuring every moment spent together. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband, Gary. Together, they visited Alaska, Ireland, California, Colorado, Texas, and Ohio, creating many lasting memories.
She is survived by her loving husband, Gary Lacy; her son, Ben (Jessica) Lacy; her daughter, Amanda (Nathan) Krajnik; her four siblings, Linda (Chuck) Schmidt, Tom Pfeifer, Cindy (Jamie) Jerabek, and David Pfeifer; and her four grandchildren, Alaina Lacy (Connor Showers), Anthony (Solana) Honda-Lacy, Izabella Diana Lacy, and Christopher Krajnik.
