Obituary

David F. Kneher

March 20, 1961 - November 8, 2025

David Frank Kneher was born March 20, 1961 in Omaha, NE to Kenneth and Wilma (Metcalf) Kneher of Kearney, Nebraska. David was the youngest. He grew up with his 4 siblings- Bob, Steve, Gary and Lissa, and his Mother and Father.

David enjoyed being a backyard mechanic helping his Dad and older brothers work on their stock cars and anything with a motor. David never married but in 2005 he met Brandy and they started a life together and in 2007 his daughter Deja was born. David loved spending time with his daughter.

David also enjoyed family time with all his nieces and nephews and family reunions once a year. David was a storyteller and could make you laugh over the tallest stories he would tell. David’s goal was to get to see Deja graduate and he was so proud of her that day. He also was able to make it to Kearney for family reunion in June of 2025.

David is survived by his brothers Steve and Gary, sister Lissa and Daughter Deja and stepdaughter Misty.

David was preceded in death by his Father, Mother and his oldest brother Bob.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on Friday, June 26th at the American Legion Post #52 at 1223 Central Avenue in Kearney, Nebraska.

Memorials to the family for future designation.
