Thomas was a U. S. Army Veteran. He was owner and operator of three retail drug stores including Van Dorn Pharmacy.
Family members include daughter Nancy (Whitcomb) Sundberg (Craig); grandchildren Aaron Sundberg (Amber), Brett Sundberg (Jenny), Elizabeth Sundberg (Ross), Nicholas Fuentealba and great grandchildren Colin, Teddy, and Emma Sundberg. Preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth “Betty” Whitcomb, son Scott Whitcomb, and daughter Marcie Whitcomb-Fuentealba.
