Scott was a pressman for twenty years at Quebecore Printing until it’s closing. He became a property management supervisor for NP Dodge and then was self-employed in construction.
Scott loved his Lord, family and friends, he was always there to help whenever needed, there was nothing he wouldn’t do for others. Scott loved spending time outdoors, hunting, fishing, boating, playing sports, watching Nebraska football, and spending time with his family and friends and caring about others.
Scott was a devoted son, father, grandfather and brother, his family was everything to him.
He is survived by his parents, Thomas and Carolyn (Nahley) Nickell; daughter Elizabeth and son-in-law Kaleb Luther; sons Darby and Colton Nickell; granddaughters Lauren Olivia and Kinsley Morgan Luther; brother and sister-in-law Justin and Tracy (Young) Nickell; nieces Tatum and Maggie Nickell. He also leaves behind aunts, an uncle and dear cherished friends. Preceded in death by his grandparents Arlis and Pauline Nickell, Glen and Dorothy Nahley, uncles Alan Nahley and Olen Ritter, and cousin Chad Ritter.
Viewing and Celebration Gathering will be 11:00 am -3:00 pm Sunday, July 26, 2026, Roper and Sons Midtown Chapel,4300 O Street, Interment will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday August 1, 2026 in the Nickell Cemetery (Hazel Valley) in rural Durham, Arkansas.
