Kristen was born on November 20, 1973, in Hannibal, Missouri, to James “Jim” Adrian Scott and Carolyn Ann Scott (Bartels). As a child, she was raised in Louisiana, Missouri, where she grew up making fond memories with her brother James “Jimmy” Edwin Scott and friends. She attended the Louisiana public schools through her graduation in 1992. She graduated from Concordia College in Seward, NE with a bachelor degree in Education.
She met the love of her life, Christopher Eugene Plock, and the two were united in marriage on November 2, 1996, in Shickley, Nebraska. Together, they shared nearly 30 wonderful years of marriage, building a beautiful life and home together in Lincoln.
Kristen was a vibrant person who truly loved talking to people. Above all, her greatest joy was her family. She survives and is deeply missed by her devoted husband, Christopher Plock; her loving daughter, Kamryn Fry, and son-in-law, Jacob Fry; her mother, Carolyn Scott; her sister-in-law Priscilla Scott and her three children James Hayden Scott, Michelle Scott, and Lauren Scott; her father-in-law, Larry Plock and his wife Lynda; her brother-in-law John Plock and his children Samantha Juranek (her husband Jordan) and Austin Plock (his wife Allison) and a close circle of extended family and dear friends.
She was reunited in death with her father, James Adrian Scott, her brother, James Edwin Scott, her mother-in-law Marlene Walters, her stepmother-in-law Rose Plock, her grandfather and grandmother Edwin and Esther Bartels and grandfather and grandmother James Dewey and Mildred Scott.
The family would like to thank the staff at Bryan East Hospital. The nurses, techs, respiratory technicians and doctors for their loving care of Kristen in her final days.

- Visitation: Will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at Roper and Sons O Street Chapel (4300 O St, Lincoln, NE 68510).
- Funeral Service: Will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Havelock United Methodist Church (4140 N 60th St, Lincoln, NE 68507).
