Robert Eldridge Morin

Robert Eldridge Morin, 92, of Lincoln, passed away April 18, 2018. Born June 25, 1925 in San Francisco, CA to William Joseph and Alvina Josephine (Blasius) Morin. WWII U. S. Army Air Corps Veteran. He attended Washington State University and University of Nebraska Lincoln. He received a BS in Business Administration and BA in Journalism from UNL. Married to Marilyn E. Lauenstein, she preceded him in death on September 29, 1994. Robert remarried to Ruth Hayes in 1996. Robert retired in 1990, after 40 years as Director of Advertising and Promotion at Lincoln Mutual Insurance Co. He was a charter member of the Northeast United Church of Christ, American Legion Post #3, UNL Alumni Association, Delta Sigma Pi, Fellow of the Life Office Management Institute (FLMI) and was a former member of the Life Insurance Advertisers Association.

Family members include, daughters, Cathy Morin-Von Kaenel (Bob), and Trish-Morin Klein (David); grandchildren, Allison Corbett-Blaylock (Kyle), Highlands Ranch, CO, Ashley Morin, Katie Corbett-Lind (Jake), Mariah Klein and Cody Klein, all of Lincoln; great-grandchildren, Sophia, Alila and McKenzie. Preceded in death by parents, wife, Marilyn; sisters, Evelyn Lingafelter and Juanita Ozor, brother, George Morin.

Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. Monday (4-23-18) Northeast United Church of Christ, 6200 Adams Street with Pastor Melissa Finlaw-Draper officiating. Prior private interment.

Memorials to Northeast United Church of Christ.

Visitation: 2-8 p.m. Sunday with family present from 4-6 p.m. at Roper and Sons, 4300 ‘O’ Street.
