Max Breed

November 4, 1952 - April 28, 2026

Max Breed, 73, of Lincoln, Nebraska passed away at home with family after a long, courageous battle with cancer on April 28, 2026. He was born on November 4, 1952 in Wichita, Kansas to Gale and Clara Breed.

Max is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Janelle Breed; his daughter, Kelsey (Jeremy) Cutsor; and his cherished granddaughters, Maddy and Haylee Cutsor. He is also survived by his brothers, Gale (Becky) Breed, Jr., Roger (Judy) Breed, and Brian (Darren) Breed, along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Max dedicated 21 years of his career to Quest Diagnostics as Systems Analyst. He later continued his with work with organizations such as Tabitha and Austism Center of Nebraska, where is remained committed to helping others.

Above all, Max’s greatest joy in life was being a grandfather. He loved spending time with Maddy and Haylee, attending their sporting activities and supporting them in everything they did. He was incredibly proud of the young women they are becoming. In his free time, he enjoyed playing Keno and sharing laughs and drinks with friends.

A funeral service will be held on May 23, 2026 at 11am at Roper and Sons Funeral Home, 4300 O Street, Lincoln, NE with a lunch to follow.

Memorial contributions may be made to family to support his granddaughters’ college funds.

Max will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
