I miss the garbage routes, New Zealand Whites, Rex, Crash, Mr. and Mrs. Shrader, the brothers, and the commentaries. I can still see the inside of the house on 51st? street. Now, despite only coming through Lincoln a couple of times over the decades, I should have stopped in to say thanks for helping in the upbringing… Fair winds and following seas..

I really enjoyed my time with Duane. He really meant a lot to me and I’ll never forget him. He gave me a ton of really good life advice and I woke up every morning excited to go over to his house and help him.

I will remember your sweet smile and joyful and grateful spirit to the end! How you continued to share the word and make sure others had the love of Jesus in their hearts up to your last days. No doubt you are missed by so many but happy to hear you made it to your forever home and can be reunited with Myrlen once again! I can only imagine how special that was! ❤️

Mr. Duane Shrader and I were introduced through my helping him out at his home working for Home Instesd! He was always such a delight. I loved his polite way of saying thank you dear lady. He and I prayed together often along with a few tears. Holiday’s were the best as he reminisce about his wife and sons. He and I were both Lincoln High Links so great stories. Slumber Peacefully Dear Friend Oh How I’m Going To Miss You

The best memory that I will always have of Duane is on the way to his rabbit farm in his old beat up gray Chevy pickup one day he witnessed to me my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I believe I was around 14 at the time He’s a very special man and will forever be in my heart.
