Born on December 21, 1972, in Lincoln, Nebraska, to Gilbert and Susan Gunn, Stacy was a bright Light to all who knew her. She was known for her warmth, humor, and deep Love for family and friends. Spontaneous and quick-witted, she had a natural ability to connect with others and truly never met a stranger.
Stacy embraced adventure and found her greatest joy in time spent with Loved ones-whether at home, on the water at Harlan County Lake, or along the beaches of Florida.
She dedicated many years to working in the insurance industry and was also a beloved Jazzercise instructor, inspiring many with her energy, positivity, and spirit. Above all, Stacy’s family was the center of her world.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Steve Pfingsten; her daughter, Bailey Spahn (fiance, Jackson Hinzman); her sons, Jackson Spahn (Mickena Spahn) and Hugh Spahn; her sister, Lori Anderson; her brother-in-Law, Todd Anderson; her niece, Alexandra Anderson; her nephew, Westen Anderson; her stepchildren, Daniel Pfingsten (Kayla Pfingsten), Dillon Pfingsten (Jordan Pfingsten), and Garret Pfingsten (Catarina Spangler); her cherished grandchildren, Emmy, Camden Palmer, Graham, Porter, and Baker; her parents, Gilbert and Susan Gunn; her uncle and aunt, Mike and Kathy Tays; her aunt, Danielle Tays; her cousins, Ryan and Sophia Baker, and Noah Tays; as well as AL and Autumn Short and their children; and a wide circle of extended family members and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
She was preceded in death by her beloved family members, Mark Tays, Judy Tays, Jamie Tays Walenta, and Albert and Lee Pfingsten, along with her grandparents.
Stacy brought joy wherever she went. Her Laughter, compassion, and unwavering Love will Live on in the hearts of all who knew and Loved her.
A celebration of Stacy’s Life will be held on May 11, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Wilderness Ridge, 1800 Wilderness Woods Place, Lincoln, Nebraska.
