Darlene L. Elliott, 87, Lincoln, died Monday (1-31-11). Born (8-12-23) in Bennet, Nebraska to Earl E. and Ida (Nahley) Lockhart. Former teacher. Ret. Bookkeeper, Ferrell Gas Company. Attended Nebraska Wesleyan University. Member: Havelock United Methodist Church, served, organized and cooked church dinners well into her 80’s, taught Sunday school and was a member of a church prayer group; member of Christian Business and Professional Women’s Council; Lydia Circle. Darlene loved her family. Enjoyed playing cards and dancing.
Family members include son: Jay A. Elliott, Tucson, AZ; niece, spouse: Cheryl and Jon Ogden, Lincoln, NE; nephews, spouse: Larry and Barbara Lockhart, Lincoln, NE, Glen Lockhart, Palm Springs, CA; great nephew, spouse: Ryan and Steph Lockhart; great nieces, spouses: Kristi and Casey Fries, Erin and Brett Vesey, Julie and Josh Borchers, Wendy and Chad Martin; 7 great great nieces and nephews; grandsons, spouses: Brad and Yeny Jennings, Centennial, CO, Troy and Amy Jennings, Ft. Collins, CO; great grandchildren: David, Tyler and Breken, and many close friends. Preceded in death by parents, husband Paul, brother and sister-in-law.
Funeral Service: 1:30 p.m. Saturday (2-5-11) Havelock United Methodist Church, 4140 N. 60th Street. Rev. Chuck Cornwell, officiating.
