Jo married Dana William Smith and later had their son, David. The family moved to Lincoln, NE. Through many decades of service at the State Historical Society in Lincoln, Jo made a lasting impact on all who worked with her. She later retired and spent many good years with friends and family, including beloved grandchildren Justin and Shannon Smith.
Jo is survived by son, David Smith, granddaughter, Shannon Smith, brother, Larry (Mona) Faltin, and many wonderful nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by husband, Dana Smith; grandson, Justin Smith; daughter-in-law, Kathy Smith; parents, Gertrude Faltin, Elhart “Al” Faltin, and Florence Beller; sisters, Elaine “Queenie” (Wilbert) Schumacher, Delvina “Del” (William) Zuerlein, Maureen (James) Farris, and Mary Ann Faltin; brother, Donald Beller; and 4 loved infant children.
