I remember Jerry from Southview Christian Church. I helped teach Sunday school to his boys, Kyle and Kevin. His kids were always a pleasure to be around, a good reflection of the way he and Carol brought the family up. Jerry will be missed, and our prayers are with the family.

Many great memories with Jerry. Our parents square dancing, church Christmas plays, and visiting the Hessor farm just south of Adams. Sorry for your loss, but heaven has received Jerry.

What great neighbors and dear friends we were on Chestnut Lane. Then when Harm died and I was selling to move to AZ, here came Jerry to take the things down from the top of the garage for me. Such friendship. Prayers for Carole and family.

Jerry was one of my best friends from kindergarten to graduation. I remember a couple Harlan County fishing trips with Rod, Randy, Steve and a few others after graduation. Also a few State Fair days of fun before that. I can only remember good conversations and actions from him. Carole and family, you have had a great man about you! Dave Pittman

As kids growing up in Adams we attended the Presbyterian church. Four families would celebrate the Easter season with a Sunday breakfast. Many memories. Then as part of the life cycle I was the labor and delivery nurse for the birth of Jerry and Carole’s sons. He will be missed by many.

I remember Paul was conducting a rehearsal dinner for a wedding on a Friday evening he said I had to come up to the church right then. So I got dressed, told the kids I would be back later. I got to the church to find my cousin, Holly. So Jerry and I came to be kissing cousins. He said our dogs ran around the same trees. Jerry and I enjoyed a great friend after that wedding. I will miss his smile and laugh. My prayers are with Carol and the family.
