Jeanette K. Miller, 81, of Lincoln passed away on September 17, 2026. She was born on December 9, 1944, in Norfolk, NE to Walter and Helen (Holm) John. She was proceeded in death by her husband Herbert H. Miller, parents and two sisters, Karen and Julie. She is survived by her stepson, Steve Obrist, wife Mary, their three children, Sarah, Ryan and Amanda, and her stepdaughter, Kerry Obrist. Jeannette worked many years for the Records Department in Lincoln where she supervised adults with developmental disabilities in their supportive employment program. Upon retirement she became an Adult Companion for the last several years of her life. She was a very active member of her church, Christ Lincoln, where she participated in many ministries. She was an avid bell collector and served as The American Bell Association’s Historian for many years. Jeannette was also very active with her HOA at Park Place Estates where she served as President for many years. To close family and friends she was known for her love and care of her beloved dogs Sophie, Izzy and Tilly.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 1, 2026, at Roper and Son’s Midtown Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ St. Lincoln, NE 68510.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday October 2, 2026, at Christ Lincoln Church, 4325 Sumner St, Lincoln, NE 68506 with a reception to follow the service. Burial will take place at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery at 2:00p.m. Guests meet at Gate 2 in the cemetery.
