Her life was centered on faith, family, and service. She read her Bible daily and spent countless hours studying God’s Word. The pages of her Bible, filled with handwritten notes and reflections, revealed how deeply she considered its teachings and how they applied to her life as a wife, mother, and child of God. She was a faithful member of her church, attending worship and Sunday school, both as a teacher and as someone always willing to listen, learn, and share her knowledge.
One of her most enduring forms of service was through music. For more than 60 years, she faithfully played the organ and piano for her church, sharing her gift of music as an expression of her faith and devotion. She gave her time and talent quietly, faithfully, and without seeking recognition.
That same devotion could be seen in her home and family. She was remarkably organized and worked alongside her husband, helping with drafting, bookkeeping, and the many details of their lives together.
In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, baking, gardening, and researching her family’s genealogy. Whether through music, teaching, caring for her family, or the everyday things she did for others, hers was a life of service—lived through faith, expressed through her actions, and shared with the people around her.
Funeral service: 10:30 a.m., Monday, September 28, 2026, Faith Lutheran Church, 8701 Adams St. with 1:30 p.m. interment in Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery. Please meet at gate #2.
