Douglas D. Burks, 65, of Lincoln passed away September 11, 2026. Born February 13, 1961, in Amarillo, TX to Charles and Wilda (Radney) Burks.

Doug served in the U.S. Navy for 24 years as an Independent Duty Corpsman on submarines. After retiring as a Senior Chief, Doug went on to teach Nuclear Power Plant Operations at Southeast Community College, Milford.

Family members include his wife, Cynthia; son, Robert and daughter-in-law, Lindsay; daughter, Krista; and 6 grandsons; Connor, Brayden, Josh, Augustin, Caleb, and Gabe.

Graveside service: 10:00 am Friday, September 25, 2026, Omaha National Cemetery Columbarium.

Memorial service: 12:00 pm Friday, September 25, 2026, Capitol City Christian Church, 7800 Holdrege St.
