Michael Steven Schleicher , 73, of Lincoln, passed away Thursday (8-27-2026). Born (07/17/1953) in Roswell, New Mexico to William and Patricia Schleicher.

Mike married the love of his life (08/24/1979) Jeanette Schleicher. Mike was a Conductor at BNSF for 42 years. Mike enjoyed his spending time with his grandchildren and hanging out with friends at his neighborhood pub after retiring from the railroad.

Family members include daughter, Katie (Steven) Green; son, Brent (Kendra) Schleicher; son, Andrew Schleicher; grandchildren, Duane, Henry, Elijah, Isaac, Kamani and Kaniyah; sister, Sharon (Jerry) Mayfield; and multiple nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by wife Jeanette and his parents

Our condolences to the family. I knew Mike in high school even though he was a few years younger than me. We used to tease each other about having the same birthday. He was a great guy and you were always in for a good time on or off the job. Rest in peace brother, we will tip one for you at the pub.
