Opal was employed as a grocery clerk in Waverly. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Murdock, NE,
Opal and her husband Archie loved to go dancing and she loved spending time with friends and family. She also enjoyed going to the grandkids and great grandkids’ sports and school functions.
Family members include her daughters Debra (Rick) Richard, Elkhorn and Deanna (Val) Sabata, Lincoln; grandchildren Ryan (Erica) and Brent (Adrieene) Richard, Trisha (Nick) Riggle, and Christi (Micah) Hansen; 10 great grandchildren Chase (Bailey), Maci and Ty Riggle, Colten and Laiken Hansen, Lena, Eleanor, and George Richard, Alexis and Nicole Richard; sister Eileen Bayless; brother-in-law Charles Finney; sister-in-law Margie Biel; nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Archie, and son Doug.
Funeral service: 11:00 am Monday, October 26, 2026, Roper and Sons Waverly Chapel, 10851 N. 148th Street. Interment in Rosehill Cemetery, Waverly, NE.
