Ervin D. “Moose” Steyer

June 12, 1930 - March 14, 2013

Ervin D. “Moose” Steyer, 82, of Davey, NE, died Thursday (3-14-13). Born (6-12-30) in Raymond, NE to Joseph and Alice (Schoneman) Steyer. U. S. Army 1948 – 1954. Ret. 1996, after 38 years for Goodyear. Also, farming was a large part of his life. Member: St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Davey, D.A.V. and Goodyear Retirees, Local #286.

Survived by his wife of 61 years, Maxine; daughter, Susan (Mike) Allen, Davey, NE; son, Paul Steyer, Lincoln, NE; grandchildren, Tony (Angie) Allen,O’Neill, NE, Summer Allen-Portsche (Matt), Lincoln, NE, Zack Allen (Mandy), Omaha, NE, Katie Steyer, Davey, NE, Kristine and Kallie Sue Steyer, Lincoln, Nicholas, Nathaniel and Nolan Steyer, Davey; great-grandchildren, Storm, Dane and Colten Portsche, Asher and Bronson Allen, Cody, Ty, and Hailey Eiler, Michael Steyer; sister, Elaine (Don) Schroer, Lincoln, NE. Preceded in death by parents, sister Shirley.

Rosary: 7:00 pm Sunday (3-17-13) Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ St.

Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 am Monday (3-18-13) St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 17630 3rd St., Davey, NE with Father Joseph Bernardo officiating.

Burial in Fairview Cemetery.

Memorials to the church or American Kidney Foundation.

Visitation: 1-7 pm Sunday at Roper and Sons with family present from 5-7 pm Sunday.
