Brad was born on January 26, 1963, in Lincoln, Nebraska. He married his childhood sweetheart, Tracy Ogden on August 24, 1985. Together they built a life centered around love, family, loyalty, and hard work.
Brad dedicated more than 30 years to Goodyear before retiring at the age of 55. After retirement, he continued working with IATSE, the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, where he set up complex stages for the biggest acts visiting Lincoln. He managed several rental properties with his wife, enjoyed metalworking and rebuilding golf carts, and was generally always busy helping someone other than himself. Brad enjoyed all forms of racing, snowmobiling, camping, and spending time outdoors. He especially loved time spent with his family and friends. He also adored his dogs, Fozzie, Mader, and Furbie, who brought him so much joy.
More than anything, Brad was the rock of his family. He was kind, caring, and generous beyond measure — the type of person who would drop everything to help someone in need. He loved deeply and showed that love through his actions every single day.
Brad is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Tracy Ogden; his mother, Anna Ogden Peterson; his father, Larry Ogden II; his brother, Larry “Bud” Ogden III; his mother-in-law, Dorothy “Pork” Tritsch; and beloved extended family members: Tanner Ogden; Terri Baker, Randi and Nathaniel Zabel, Rylee Zabel, Lathan Zabel (Sabrina Muellner); Toni and Ron Hinkley, Kelli McGarvie, Katie McGarvie; and Antona, Seth, and Gracie Schulz.
Brad was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Riki Ogden, who passed away in 2011; his father-in-law, Albert “Cork” Tritsch; his brother-in-law, Bob Baker; and his step-father, Pete Peterson.
In keeping with Brad’s loving and generous spirit, his final act of kindness was to give the gift of life to three individuals through organ donation.
