Barbara Ingersoll

July 7, 1930 - May 21, 2026

Barbara LaVonne Ingersoll, 95, passed away on May 21, 2026, in Lincoln, NE.

She was born on July 7,1930 to Boyd Lee and Velma Orlean (Daniel) Collins in Hamlet, NE.

On August 18, 1946, Barbara married the love of her life, Lyle Ingersoll in St. Francis, Kansas. Barbara and Lyle married at a very young age, sneaking away to elope. The young couple made their home in Sidney, Ne where they raised three sons. They celebrated 71 blissful years of marriage together.

Barbara’s passion in life was caring for people and she became an LPN and retired from that job later in life. She also supported Lyle in his ministry throughout the years and enjoyed the fellowship of the several churches that he served.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lyle; and sister, Linda Clark.

Barbara is survived by her three sons, DeLos (Judy) Ingersoll of Ogallala, NE, Jerald (Jerry) Ingersoll of Lincoln, NE, and David (Peggy) Ingersoll also of Lincoln. Barbara also leaves behind five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Graveside Services will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026, beginning at 1 PM CDT in the Palisade Cemetery, Palisade NE with Pastor Mark Brunott officiating.
