She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1958. On March 16th, 1962, she was united in marriage to Robert E. Pont. She was a member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church.
She worked for several Lincoln companies including Banker’s Life Nebraska (now Ameritas Life Insurance), Control Data and Continental Insurance before retiring in 1997.
She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by husband Bob, sisters Barb Wentink and Sandy Elliott, stepdaughter Cindy Mayer, stepson Jerry (Mary Jo) Pont, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Jim and Roberta Pont, Don and Jackie Pont and Ray and Sheryl Pont, grandchildren Kellie Knowles, Leah Bond, Jenna Theisen (PJ) and Kylie Pont, four great grandchildren Athena, Aurora and Augusta Theisen and Hudson Bond, and 12 nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, September 30th at 1:00 PM at Roper & Sons Funeral Home, South Lincoln Chapel, located at 3950 Hohensee Dr. A gathering will immediately follow at the funeral home.
