Wanda was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and a graduate of Lincoln Northeast High School in 1956. She worked for Lincoln Telephone and Telegraph, Nebraska Soybean Association, Parker Fluids, secretary for the Immanual Lutheran Church of Eagle and a homemaker.
She is survived by her sons Keith Stroebel, Lincoln and Duane Stroebel, Eagle; grandsons Levi (Anna) Stroebel, Hayesville, KS and Matthew Stroebel, Fremont; granddaughters Rebekah Stroebel, Lincoln, Alana (Jessica) Stroebel, Omaha, Rachel Stroebel, residing in Maryland; 18 greatgrandchildren and nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, stepmother “Bernie”, husband Lawrence, sister Wilda, brother Melvin, son Thomas Stroebel and daughters-in-law Julia Stroebel (Keith) and Karen Stroebel (Thomas).
Funeral service: 11:00 am Friday, October 30, 2026, Redeemer Lutheran Church, 510 South 33rd Street with Pastor Samuel Bobby officiating. Interment will be at 2:00 pm in Eagle Cemetery.
Visitation one hour prior to service time.
