Obituary

Galina Neshpor

August 18, 1945 - October 23, 2026

Galina Neshpor, a beloved mother and grandmother, passed away on October 23, 2026, at the age of 81. She was born on August 18, 1945, in Moscow, Russia, to Ekaterina Isaykova. She grew up and spent most of her adult life in Moscow before moving to Lincoln, Nebraska, in order to be closer to her family.

Galina will always be remembered as an incredibly intelligent and thoughtful person. An economist by profession, she maintained a wide range of interests, including literature, theater, opera, and cooking delicious meals. In her later years, Galina poured her love into a wonderful family garden, whose beauty offers a way to remember her, with a piece of her soul living on through her flowers.

Galina shared a happy marriage with her late husband, Gennady Neshpor. She was a devoted mother to her daughter, Katya Belashchenko, a beloved mother-in-law to Kirill Belashchenko, and a proud grandmother to Sasha and Elena, who brought immense happiness to her life.

Galina was always there to support her daughter and grandchildren and believed in them with unwavering faith. She encouraged them to pursue their dreams and embrace new adventures, even when their plans seemed impossible. Above all, she wanted them to be happy, confident in themselves, and free to choose their own paths.

Galina will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Roper & Sons Funeral Home, 4300 O Street, Lincoln, Nebraska.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Galina’s memory to a charity of your choice.
