Vera Grace Hansen, 103, of Ceresco, died Monday, June 18, 2018. Born August 10, 1914, to Christian and Agnes (Larsen) Sorensen in Minden, NE. She married Clarence Hansen on February 24, 1937 and they moved to the Ceresco area where they farmed. Clarence passed away in 1994. Vera was a school teacher in country schools; member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Ceresco; Danish Sisterhood of America; Lifetime Norden Club; Order of Eastern Star in Ceresco; a 4-H Leader; loved to garden and plant flowers.
She is survived by sons, Harvey (Darlene) Hansen of Akeley, MN; Charles (Louise) Hansen of Hartman, AR; daughter, Donna Hansen of Lincoln; twin sisters, Phillis Brown of Cambridge, NE and Pauline Williams of Coal Hill, AR; 9 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and 3 great great granddaughters. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother, Arnold Sorensen.
Funeral Service: 10:00am Friday, June 22, 2018, Immanuel Lutheran Church in Ceresco. Interment at 2:00pm at Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation/Family Greeting friends: 5:00- 7:00pm Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Roper & Sons Funeral Home 4300 O Street.
