Joanna Gajardo

October 7, 1929 - February 20, 2024

It is with great sadness that the family of Joanna K. Gajardo announce her passing on February 20th, 2024, at the age of 94 at Holmes Lake Rehabilitation & Care Center.

She was born October 7th, 1929, in Buenos Aires, Argentina eldest daughter of Charles Sherbourne Kennedy from Philadelphia, USA and Alice Edith Lowe from Wellington, New Zealand.

Survivors:  Son Daniel (Ruth) Gajardo from Lincoln, Veronica Gajardo (Luis Garcia) from Talca, Chile, daughter in law Roxana Cifuentes from Lincoln.

Grandchildren: Daniel A, Lincoln, Bastian (Doni) from Chillan, Chile. Melissa (Ignacio) from Concepcion, Chile. Andrea and Cristobal Gajardo-Cifuentes from Lincoln, Ricardo Gajardo-Cifuentes from Columbus.

Great-grandchildren:  Antonio, Aayla, Adrian.

Sisters: Florencia Kennedy (Melchor Suarez Prada) from Misiones, Argentina, Mary Kennedy from Buenos Aires, Argentina, Patricia Kennedy from Misiones, Argentina, Betty Puricelli from Toronto, Canada, sister-in-law Annie Kennedy from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Cousins, nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death and waiting for her at the Gates of Heaven was her son Andres Gajardo and brother William “Bill” Kennedy.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Ropers & Sons Midtown Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street in Lincoln on Monday, May 20th, 2024, at 11:00 AM.

Interment at Wyuka Cemetery, Lincoln.
