James McLaughlin, 78, formerly of Lincoln, NE passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 25, 2023 at Villa Court Assisted Living facility in Las Vegas, NV. Born October 1, 1945, in Pittsburgh, PA to James and Sarah (Raley) McLaughlin.

James served in C Battery, 2nd Bn, 94th Artillery, U S Army during the Vietnam War (1968-1970). He was a graduate of Southeast High School Class of 1963. James was a salesman for General Tobacco & Candy, Central States Distributing, Mass Merchandisers, Graham Tire, and Pep Boys for many years until retiring in Las Vegas, NV.

Family members include his wife Rita; sons James Phillips (Lisa Marshall), Lincoln and Jeffrey Phillips, Las Vegas, NV; 3 grandchildren; cousins Virginia (Will) Locke and Helen (Bill) Schnackenberg.

Graveside service: 1:00 pm Friday, June 21, 2024, Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery, 6800 S. 14th Street. Please meet at gate #2.
