Dolores Kuchta Graff

March 3, 1928 - April 27, 2024

Dolores Kuchta Graff, 96, of Lincoln passed away April 27, 2024. Born March 3, 1928, in Beatrice, NE to Andrew and Agnes (Quinowski) Zahm.

Dolores was a Registered Nurse and homemaker. She completed her training at St. Elizabeth Hospital School of Nursing in 1948 and served in the U. S. Army Cadet Nurse Corps which was created because of a nationwide shortage of nurses that existed before and during World War II.  When the war ended she continued her nursing career for a short time at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital. 

Dolores was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church and St. Elizabeth Nurse’s Alumni Association.

Family members include her daughters Bobbie (Bob) FitzGerald, Kathy (Dave) Dempsey, Terri (Michael) Tansey, and Mary Jo (Greg) Gillespie; sons John (Sheila) Kuchta and Tom (Holly) Kuchta; 10 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren; sisters Rose Anne (Wayne) Denney, Pat Braden, and Bernadette (Edmundo) Sandoval; sister-in-law Carol Zahm. Preceded in death by both her husbands, Clarence Kuchta and Wally Graff, one brother and one sister.

Rosary: 9:30 am Friday, May 3, 2024, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am, St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 4500 Duxhall Drive. Burial in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.

Visitation will be from 4-6 pm Thursday, May 2, 2024, Roper and Sons South Lincoln Chapel, 3950 Hohensee Drive.

Memorials may be given to St. Peter’s Catholic Church and Capital Humane Society.
