Rowena Evelyn Smith, 89, Ceresco, passed away July 27, 2018. Born June 13, 1929 in Nevada, Iowa to Elston Lorenzo and Grace Leona (Bliss) Adams. Retired in 2009, Commissions Clerk, Ernie’s in Ceresco. She was a graduate of Oak Park Academy in Nevada (1947) and then attended Union College for a year and a half. She had many friends and worked at a firm in Nevada during the summer typing. She enjoyed doing ceramics and needlework. Member of College View Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Family members include her sons, Rollin Bower, Lincoln, Russell (Susan) Bower, Wichita, KS, Randy (Kris) Bower, Ceresco; step-son, Jeffrey Eitel, Littleton, CO, Gary (Kay) Eitel, Pueblo, CO; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; 1 great great-grandchild. Preceded in death by parents, husband James, son Scott Bower, sister LaVonna Pettit and brothers Willis and Wayne Adams.
Memorial Service: 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 6, 2018, Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street.
