Mitchell Chunestudy

April 8, 1923 - April 1, 2012

Mitchell Chunestudy, 88, Lincoln, passed away on Sunday (4-1-12). Born (4-8-23) in Stilwelll, Oklahoma to Robert and Katie (Walkingstick) Chunestudy. Ret. 1988, Boiler Room Stationary Engineer at V.A. Medical Center for 36 years. WWII U. S. Army Veteran. Member: Piedmont Park Seventh-day Adventist Church, D.A.V. and Cherokee Nation.

Family members include daughter: Loyola Nema Harmon, Moreno Valley, CA; son: Dr. William (Juliann) Chunestudy, Laurel, MD; daughters: Mae Dawn Ellis, Mitchellene Kay (Floyd) Sylvester, all of Lincoln; son: Joseph Chunestudy, Grady, AR; half-sister: Betty Jane Foster, Vian, OK; grandchildren: (Loyola’s children) Kevan Griffen, Mitchell Harmon, (William’s children) Trevor (Nicole) Chunestudy, Nicole (Brad) Hunt, Trisha (Joey) Muellner, (Dawn’s child) Heather Ellis, (Mitchellene’s children) Tobia (Alicia) Simon, Tristan Simon, (Joseph’s children) Callie Chunestudy and Brandon Sinor, Nathan (Heather) Chunestudy, Leah Chunestudy; 10 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, wife – Bobbie Jo in 1997.

Memorial Service: 10:30 a.m. Thursday (4-5-12) Piedmont Park Seventh-day Adventist Church, 4801 ‘A’ Street. Pastor Michael Halfhill, officiating.

Memorials to College View Academy. No Visitation/Cremation.
