Miriam Elizabeth Gabelman, 82, of Lincoln, passed away March 24, 2016. Born January 12, 1934 in Lincoln, NE to Carl and Mary (Moran) Wohlfarth. She was an amazing wife and mother, a Legal Stenographer, worked as a Lobbyist for Radcliffe & Associates, the Nebraska Association of Former State Legislators, and Woods Tennis Center. Miriam enjoyed gardening, scrapbooking, Friday lunches with friends, playing piano and games, but most of all, “Tennis was her racquet”.
Family members include her husband, Gerald “Jerry” Gabelman and their loving cocker spaniel Cricket; children, Tracey (Gary) Hart, Connie Gabelman and friend, Floyd Else, Nancy Gabelman (Greg Iba), Tobi Gabelman (Steven Scaggs); grandchildren, Aly Hart Summerson (Nate Summerson), Michael Hart and fiancé, Tony Guerrero, Gracie and Tatum Scaggs; great-granddaughters, Layla Hart Summerson, Miriam Elaine Summerson; siblings, Carl (Shirley) Wohlfarth, Paul Wohlfarth, Dave Wohlfarth (Cathy Martindale); sister-in-law, Susie Wohlfarth; special friend of family, Gwen Linke; and numerous extended family and friends. Preceded in death by parents; mother-in-law, Eugenia Gabelman, grandchildren, Sam and Maddie Scaggs, sister-in-law, Sandy Wohlfarth, in-laws, Robert (Betty Jean) Johnson and friends, Kate, Bob and Annie.
Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. Tuesday (3-29-16) Southview Christian Church, 2040 South 22nd Street with Pastor Kerry O’Bryant officiating.
