Kathy was a truly special person—funny, intelligent, and deeply caring. She generously shared her knowledge and experience with so many of us, always leading with integrity and often brightening our days with her memorable stories. When I was a new tech, Kathy was the one I could always turn to for help and guidance. No matter how busy things got, she never hesitated to take the time to teach and support us, always going above and beyond for our lab. I feel fortunate to have worked alongside her and to have shared many heartfelt conversations during our break times. We’ll all miss her wonderful laugh and the warmth she brought to our team. Kathy always had a smile on her face. I loved her laugh. I always enjoyed her stories of when she was young. We were both privileged to be co grandparents to Mya and Dylan and watched them during the day. She was the teaching grandma and I was the crafty one. We complemented each other well. While it’s still hard to believe she is gone, she will never be forgotten.
