Jacob Patrick Hotovy

Jacob Patrick Hotovy, 83, of Lincoln, passed away January 15, 2016. Born March 17, 1932 in Dwight, NE to Jacob R. and Emma (Houdek) Hotovy. Ret. 1992, after 42 years with Goodyear. Korean War U. S. Army Veteran. Member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church for 60 years, Goodyear Retirees Club, served on the Board of Directors of the Credit Union for 35 years, and American Legion Post #3.

Family members include his wife, Sally; sons, Mike (Mary Beth) and Steve (Lee Ann) Hotovy, all of Lincoln; daughters, Linda (Roger) Welsch, Lisa Linnemeyer, all of Dannebrog, NE, Vicky (Gary) Ebert, Eagle, NE; 13 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sisters, Arlene (Ray) Grubbs, Ft. Worth, TX and Darlene (Eugene) Divis, David City, NE. Preceded in death by parents, sisters, Angela and husband James Kutka and Virginia and husband Arthur Hoffbauer and brother, Donald Hotovy. Rosary: 7:00 p.m. Tuesday (1-19-16) Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street.

Visitation: 2-8 p.m. Tuesday with family greeting friends from 6:00 p.m. until the Rosary begins. Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00 a.m. Wednesday (1-20-16) St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 6111 Morrill with Fr. Troy Schweiger officiating.

Memorials to Alzheimer’s Research, 1500 S. 79th, Ste 201 (06) or St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.
