Obituary

Christie Lee Kilgore (Worrell)

March 5, 1961 - November 10, 2017

Christie Lee Kilgore (Worrell), 56, of Lincoln, passed away peacefully in her sleep, November 10, 2017, surrounded by her family.  Born March 5, 1961 in Topeka, KS to William and Euna (Sloan) Worrell.

Christie moved to Lincoln in 1976, where she met and married her best friend Mark Kilgore, on December 23, 1978.  In October 1979 the couple had their first child, a daughter, Carla; four years later they welcomed another daughter, Pamela, in September 1983.

If you were blessed enough to know Christie, you knew she had the biggest heart this side of the Mississippi. Christie enjoyed feeding her birds, bunnies, and squirrels, loved Elvis, and flowers of all kinds. Her pride and joy though, was always her family, and her Pekingese, Baby Sue.  Christie took great pleasure in her calling as a homemaker and enjoyed caring for her family.

Christie is survived by her husband Mark Kilgore of Lincoln, daughter Carla (Clint) Simonsen of Thurston, daughter Pamela Lowery-Ganz (Joseph) of Crete, seven grandbabies; Christie Kilgore, Calli, Cordell, and Cale Simonsen, all of Thurston, Kaden, Savannah, and Aurora Lowery all of Crete, two sisters, one brother and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Proceeded in death by both parents and brother, William “Billy” Worrell

Celebration of Life, 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street, Lincoln.

No visitation.
