Some people are easy to know. You, sir, were definitely not one of them. 😂 You were a hard nut to crack, but apparently I’m just stubborn enough because I kept showing up. And somewhere along the way, that hard exterior turned into something I’m really grateful for: mutual respect. We had so many advice chats over the years, especially about business. You were a master of it. Not because you had a fancy degree or read it in a textbook, but because you lived it. You learned business the old-fashioned way: trial, error, success, failure, figuring it out, and doing it again. You taught me lessons that simply can’t be learned anywhere but from someone who has actually been in the trenches. I signed away my official title as your daughter-in-law a long time ago, but apparently the memo that I was supposed to disappear was misplaced. 😂 You continued to welcome me, and that meant more to me than you probably ever knew. Over the years, our paths crossed from time to time, and I’m so incredibly grateful they did. Our visits were sometimes brief, but our conversations were always worth having. And of course, I will forever hear: “Dina, I can’t hear good. You have to talk louder!” 😂 I’m thankful for the conversations, the advice, the lessons, and the laughs.. And you have someone pretty special ready to welcome you. Your grandson, my son. ❤️ You are someone I am genuinely grateful to know. Thank you for the lessons, the conversations, and for continuing to make room for me long after I technically stopped being your daughter-in-law. Rest easy. Give my boy a hug for me. ❤️
