Stanford Madlock, neighbor, classmate and a person that I admired. From meeting at Whittier, playing on the reserve basketball team, singing in Mr Thompson’s chorus; it was a pleasure to see him and Byrd at our LHS class reunion last June. He was special, he won my mom over back on Sheldon Str, she loved him. I’m not able to attend the services, but I’ll be there in spirit. Love you Stanford, you were the best! “Another Lincoln High Job Well Done.”

I’m really going to miss you, big cousin. You and Amanda were always there — showing up with love, support, and open hearts. You never judged; you just welcomed me with open arms and that big, warm smile that could light up any room. You always made me feel like family, no matter what. It’s so hard to believe you’re gone, but I’m grateful for every moment and memory we shared. You’ll be truly missed by all of us, especially my (grandmother, Aunt Virginia). Your love and kindness will always live on in our hearts. Rest peacefully, and save a seat in heaven for us. ❤️

I feel truly blessed to have known my father-in-law. From the first day I met him, he welcomed me-not just into his home, but into his heart. He taught me through his actions what it means to be a devoted husband, a caring father, and a loyal friend. His quiet strength and gentle humor brought warmth to every gathering. Though we are heartbroken today, his legacy lives on in the love he gave and the example he set.

To the Madlock Family, No words can take away the pain of losing such an amazing human being, but I hope these words wrap you all in love and guidance as you navigate this difficult time. I have never met someone more genuine than Stan in my 28 years of driving. From my time driving at Ready Mixed, to working at Western Sand, to now driving for Stephen’s and Smith, his smile and wave never changed. His charismatic nature is something I will never forget, nor is his kindness. He truly is and will always be a legend.
