Ronnie L. Skala, 61, Lincoln, died Thursday (2-18-10). Born (3-28-48) in Friend, Nebraska to Otto and Rose (Kouba) Skala. Owner/Operator, Ron’s Automotive, 33 years. Ron had many hobbies including stock car racing, fast boating, NHRA, NASCAR, football, quadrunners and go-carting.
Family members include wife: Leslie; daughter: Shelby Skala; sons: Rodney and Jeff Skala; 2 grandsons: Mickael and Trevor Skala; 2 great grandsons: Treyton and Tandon; brother-sister-in-law: Jim and Jody Akeson; sister-in-law: Lynn Akeson; mother-in-law: Jeanne Akeson, all of Lincoln; sisters: Shirley Kobes, Lincoln, Bonnie Hartwig, Ozark, MO, Joyce Skala, Lincoln, Jeannette Collier, Ft. Madison, IA, Joann Strouf, Nickerson, NE, Beverly Mays, Crete, NE; brother: Virgil Skala, Crete, NE ; step-brother: Dennis Kolarik, Crete; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by parents, brother Eugene, step-father Richard Kolarik, father-in-law Donald Akeson.
Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m. Wednesday (2-24-10) Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street.

Visitation: 10:00 a.m. Tuesday until service time, funeral home.
