She worked at The Independence Center on the Bryan West Campus for more than 20 years as a drug and alcohol counselor. She was also a counselor at Wics Home For Girls.
Katherine is survived by her daughter, Tiffany (Shannon) Patrick; grandchildren, Michael Hoppe, Caitlin Hoppe, and Jacob Patrick; siblings, Gene (Dorrie) Gage, Gwen Cook, and Becky Gage; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by Louis Lang, her parents, infant brother, Gary, brother, Stephen Gage, and sister, Judy Moorhead.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Roper and Sons South Chapel (3950 Hohensee Dr, Lincoln, NE 68516). A committal will take place immediately following the service at Lincoln Memorial Park (6700 S 14th St, Lincoln, NE 68512). A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 8, 2026, at Roper and Sons South Chapel.
Memorials are designated to the Capital Humane Society.
