G. Robert “Bob” Lott

November 9, 1924 - January 2, 2009

G. Robert “Bob” Lott, 84, Lincoln, died Friday (1-2-09). Born (11-9-1924) in Whiting, IA to Harry and Catherine (Rose) Lott. Ret. Divisional Manager, Investors Diversified Services (IDS). WWII U. S. Navy Air Corps Veteran. Attended Iowa Wesleyan College before transferring to the University of Iowa where he received his bachelor’s degree and was a member of the Lamda Chi Alpha fraternity. Bob was a member of the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church; BPOE #80, former Rotarian, member and former board member of Hillcrest Country Club.

Family members include his wife of 59 years: Marilyn “Lynn”; son, daughter-in-law: Thomas and Beth Lott, Gloucester, MA; daughter, son-in-law: Linda and Grant Ashley, Hunterdon County, NJ; grandchildren: Miles, Max and Graham Lott, Gloucester, MA; sister: Rosemary Werner, Lakewood, CO; nieces, nephews. Preceded in death by parents, sister – Jean Rogers.

Memorial Service: 12:00 Noon, Saturday (January 24th) Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street. The family will be hosting an open house following the service at Hillcrest Country Club, 9401 ‘O’ Street from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
