Dale was born on February 9, 1962, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska, where he spent most of his life. In 1984, he proudly joined the United States military and completed his basic training at Fort Lee, Virginia. He served his country until his honorable separation from the military in 1992. In 1988, Dale married the love of his life, Patricia, and together they shared 38 years of marriage. Dale was a devoted husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He worked as a truck driver for Lincoln Poultry/Sysco for 30 years and retired at the age of 62. Retirement didn’t slow him down for long, after taking a month’s break, he returned to the work he knew and loved: truck driving. Over the years, Dale enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially camping with his grandchildren. Those memories under the open sky, around the campfire, will be cherished by his family forever. He also took great pride in collecting and carefully maintaining his rifles.
Dale is survived by his wife, Patricia; his children, Jerry, Amy, Jason, Jessica, and Nicole; his five granddaughters; five grandsons; one great-grandson; and his siblings, Dan, Dennis, Deb, and Dean; and many nieces and nephews.
He will be remembered for his hard work, loyalty, love for his family, and the quiet strength he carried throughout his life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him
