Barbara K. Gochenour, 87, of Ashland, passed away on October 3, 2026. She was born on December 13, 1938, in Omaha, NE to Ralph J. and Stella (Armbrust) Brown.

She was number 7 of 9 siblings. She was married to Richard J (Dick) Gochenour on January 28, 1956. She is survived by their four children, Patty (Bill) Montague, and Debbie (Mike) Glassburner, all of Waverly, Jim (Charlotte) Gochenour of Aurora, CO and John (Julie) Gochenour of Edmond, OK. Many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

She held multiple jobs during her working career before retiring.

She is preceded in death by her husband, parents and her 6 brothers and 2 sisters.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at Rosehill Cemetery, 14700 Heywood St., Waverly, NE. A luncheon will be served following the services at Roper and Sons Waverly location, 10851 N. 148Th St., Waverly, NE.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorials to be directed to a charity of their choice.
