Susan L. Lehn, 66, of Lincoln passed away the evening of March 27, 2023 after a long battle against uterine cancer. She was born to Donald Brainerd and Rosemary (Alexander) in Lincoln, Nebraska, on August 7, 1956.

Susan was a lifelong Lincoln resident graduating from Northeast High School. She married Richard Lehn on October 24, 1978. The couple bought a home in Southwest Lincoln where they lived and raised their children. Susan worked and retired from the Lincoln Telephone Company which was later Alltel and then Windstream.

Susan’s family includes husband Richard Lehn of Lincoln, Nebraska, daughter Jill (Justin) Haas, and son, Josh (Autumn) Lehn, her beloved grandchildren Remington, Brenden, Stella, Tatumn, Garren, and Scarlett, and brother Jim (Lavonne) Brainerd.

Susan enjoyed many hobbies throughout her life including reading, cooking and bread baking , gardening, crafting, spending time outdoors, watching television, and spending time with both family and friends.

Her crafting interests were broad and included everything from mosaic to crochet. Susan believed she could make anything and she often saw something she liked and then worked with friends to recreate it themselves. Her family and extended family were often recipients of something homemade by Sue.

Susan will be forever missed and her family and friends will be looking for her memory in cotton candy clouds and rainbows.

I remember all the good times we had in junior high. We were listening to music, water-skiing with your dad, and talking about life and boys. We didn’t see each other much after that. I will never forget those moments. Sending love and good thoughts your way. Rest in peace friend.
