Helen E. Tompsett, 88, of Lincoln died August 7, 2017. Born September 22, 1928 to Charles and Eva (Frederickson) Snyder in Omaha, NE. While raising her own children she was a daycare provider, and then later was employed in housekeeping and kitchen staff. She was a member of Northeast United Church of Christ.
She is survived by her sons, Thomas (Bonnie) Tompsett, James (Marlene Stege) Tompsett; daughter, Diana (William) Wymer; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sisters, Phyllis Raschke, Hazel (Gary) Wilson, Beverly (Frank) Dolezal; brother, Jack “JR” (Cora) Snyder; many nieces, nephews, and family. Preceded in death by her husband, Leland Tompsett; daughter and son in law, Nancy and John Bennett; sisters, Harriet Snyder and Betty Jackson; brothers, Russell, Robert, and Leonard “Lenny” Snyder; great grand daughter, Ashley Tompsett.
Funeral service will be held 10 a.m., Thursday (8-10-17) at Northeast United Church of Christ, 6200 Adams St., Lincoln, Nebraska.
Visitation 1 hr. prior to the service time at the church.
Burial will be at 2 p.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 7909 Mormon Bridge Rd., Omaha, NE.
