William J. Kipper, 89, of Lincoln, died Sunday (4-7-13). Born (3-31-24) in Prairie Home, NE to Joseph and Joanna (Smith) Kipper. Married Alice G. Mock on January 12, 1952. Graduated from UNL. Bill worked as VP/Underwriting for Farm Bureau Ins., retiring in 1989. At retirement, Bill enjoyed golf, reading and traveling. Member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church; American Legion Post 3; V.F.W. Post 131; Knights of Columbus and Pink Sisters.
Survived by daughters, Patty & Tom Schroer of Lincoln, Sharon & Pat DiBiase of Omaha, Joann & Larry Hanus of Olathe, KS; son, Dennis & Maureen Kipper of Lincoln; brother, Paul & LaRue Kipper; sister-in-law, Flora Kipper; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, wife, Alice, 4 brothers, 2 sisters, 4 brothers-in-law and 1 sister-in-law.
Mass of Christian Burial Friday, 4/12/13 10:00am St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Burial 1:45pm Lincoln Memorial Park, meet at Gate #2. Fr. Nicholas Kipper, officiating.
