In his youth he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America.
Tim was afflicted with the life altering disease of Schizophrenia in his late teens/early 20’s. He moved to Lincoln for treatment and training to learn coping skills to help manage his illness. He was able to live in his own apartment independently with the monitoring of a caseworker to assist as needed. Tim worked for an office cleaning service until his retirement. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed bike riding and participating in the Nebraska State Games.
Tim’s physical health began to fail this past year and with agreement he was placed in Orchard Park Assisted Living, in January of 2024.
He was the 8th child of a family of 10. Survivors include 1 brother-Clark Ward, Lincoln, Ne. and 5 sisters Del Raye Ollenberger (husband Vernon Ollenberger) of Perryton, Tx. Penny Farris Poulter (husband Wes Poulter) Augusta, Ks., Niki Lage of York, Ne. Apola Ellis of Grand Island, Ne., and Tina Richards (husband Gene Richards) of McCool Jct. Ne. as well as many other nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, two brothers-Stephan Ward and Fred Ward and one sister-Sherry Poplin.
