Donald Loyd Allen departed this world on 7/24/2015. Don was born on the family farm in Yuma County, CO on September 18, 1938, but moved to Nebraska when he was 4. In 1981 he left his Nebraska farm and moved to Missouri to raise cattle, where he lived until ill health forced him to retire. He and his wife, Judy then moved to Springfield, where they lived for 12 years, and subsequently returned to Nebraska in 2011.
In addition to his wife, Judy, he leaves a son, David, of Hickman, NE, and two grandchildren, Ryan and Danielle, as well as a sister, Darlene of Lincoln and a sister, Dorothy of Springfield, OR; brother-in-law and wife, Fred & Julie Rockenbach, Brother-in-law and wife, Dick and Sue Rockenbach, Sister-in-law Rene Campbell, and brother-in-law Art Ortlieb. He was preceded in death by his parents, Loyd and Geraldine, and a brother, Duane.
A visitation will be held on Monday 7/27/15 at Roper and son 2-8 with family greeting from 6-8.
A remembrance of life will be held on Tuesday 7/28 at 11:00 a.m., at Roper and Sons, Lincoln, NE with a burial 11:00 Wednesday 7/29 at Eagle Cemetery.
