Moses Gaskins IV, 73, of Lincoln, NE, passed away April 10, 2025. He was born August 25, 1951 to Moses III and Mary (Gordy) Gaskins, in Philadelphia, PA.

Moses is survived by his nieces, Bettina Stokes and Kayla Gaskins; nephews, Troy El, Todd El, Chad El, Tyrone Gaskins and Lorenzo Gaskins; great nephew, Elijah Stokes; along with brothers, Garland Gaskins and Gavin McWilliams.

Preceded in death by his sister, Denise El.

Private Family only cremation viewing will be held on 11:00 am -12:00 pm Thursday, April 17, 2025 at Metcalf Funeral Home, 245 N. 27^th Street, Lincoln, NE.

Although Dwight is biologically my second cousin, he will forever be one of my brothers. His Mother, Mary, was my first cousin who grew up with the 10 of us as my Dad’s younger sister in Mt. Pleasant, Wayne, PA. Thus, she was always Aunt Mary to me and my 7 sibings. Denise and Dwight are also Mt. Pleasant bred, our cousins. All 3 are now together in eternity, along with the 12 Deans siblings and my 6 siblings. Dwight is loved and I will miss his sense of humor. He and my brother, Craig, looked like twins. Dwight often posed as Craig until Craig’s death. Craig was okay with this identity theft because we all loved Dwight. My little cousin is already missed. But, I know he is enjoying the eternal renunion with his Deans family from Wayne, PA. God send the Comforter to Dwight’s siblings, nephews, and nieces. Pray for all of us.
