Fereidoon Faripour was born on September 19,1938 in Tehran, Iran, and died on January 18, 2018 at home in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Fereidoon is survived by his wife of 54 years, Karen Faripour, son, Bizhan Faripour, daughter, Mandy Faripour, son-in-law, Mike Peterson, granddaughter, Sara Schultz and her husband, Tim Schultz, grandson, David Peterson, sister, Zari Faripour, and nephew, Amir Ali Monsefi.
Fereidoon graduated from the University of Colorado in 1965 with a degree in journalism, and worked as a newspaper editor in Tehran, Iran, before bringing his family to the United States in 1979.
A private family memorial was held on January 20, 2018.
