Gary Lee Reiners

Gary Reiners, 75, of Eagle, NE passed away on October 12, 2026.

He was born on July 25, 1951 in Bloomfield, Ne to Martin and Marie (Lamprecht) Reiners.

He was an teacher for Lincoln Public Schools.

He was preceded in death, brother Wesley Reiners; his parents, Martin and Marie Reiners ; and a host of animals.

He is survived by his sister, Judy Reiners of Lincoln, Ne; nieces, Marti Rae Dilorio and husband Dennis, Ashli True and husband Bob and son Westin.

Memorial Service and Celebration of life will be held at 4:30pm on October 20, 2026 at Roper and Sons, South Chapel in Lincoln, NE.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be directed to the Capital Humane Society.

Gary Reiners started teaching at Murdock High School in 1973. He was an Industrial Arts teacher, Speech and Drama teacher. I had Gary for several Speech Classes. In 1976 Murdock High School won the Conference Speech trophy. This started a tradition of MANY award winning speech teams at MHS. He chaperoned many students to the state speech contest, including myself. He was a wonderful teacher who challenged you to be your best. I certainly owe some of my career success to the teachings of Gary Reiners! When his health declined, I spent many phone conversations & visits with him.
