Rockne G. Sorensen passed away on June 20, 2017 surrounded by his family. Born July 17, 1953 to Glenn and Patricia (Fletcher) Sorensen in Oakland, NE. He worked 30 years for Cornhusker Bank and was an active member of Sheridan Lutheran Church. He had a passion for golf, classic cars, birds and nature, travel and most of all his family that he cherished.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Judy Sorensen; children, Jennifer (Paul) Aguilar, Emily (Nathan) Jamison, Melissa Pluss (Matthew Boyer), Andrew Sorensen (Shani Daws); grandchildren, Addison, Olivia, and Elise Aguilar, Emma and Lucy Jamison; brother, Robert (Cindy) Sorensen; and his beloved furbaby, Bella. Preceded in death by his parents and his mother and father in law.
Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday (6-26-17) at Sheridan Lutheran Church, 6955 Old Cheney Rd. with Pastor Greg Bouvier officiating.
Private prior inurnment at Sheridan Lutheran Columbarium. Cremation/no visitation.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be given to the family for future designation to be distributed to various service and mission projects.
