Robert Howard Kendle, 84 of Lincoln passed from this world to greater glory on July 1, 2016. Born September 25, 1931 to Russell and Irma (Kithcart) Kendle in Lincoln. He married Jane (Barrett) on July 29, 1951. Robert entered the Marine Corps and served in Korea through December 6, 1952. He enjoyed a 30 year career for the State of Nebraska Revenue Dept. as an appraiser. Bob was a devoted family man who always had a smile and a lifesaver to share.
Survived by his wife, Jane; son, Bob (Lisa Peters) of Lincoln; grandsons, Taylor (Carly), Josh (Brooke) of Lincoln; many special cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.
Memorial service: 11:00 a.m., July 7, 2016 at Southwood Lutheran Church, 4301 Wilderness Hills Blvd., with military honors.
Memorials may be given to the Southwood Care Team and the Capital Humane Society.
